INSTRUCTION

Terrouges Equestre, in Pretoria East, offers horse riding in dressage, show jumping, showing, equitation and carriage driving. We cater for riders of all ages and levels of experience. Terrouges Equestre has four qualified in-house instructors and regularly hosts clinics presented by local and international riders.
Individual as well as group lessons are offered. Competitive and non - competitive riders are welcome. Terrouges Equestre also offers training or schooling for your horse or pony in dressage, showing and show jumping disciplines.

Lessons are usually an hour long (55 minutes in winter). This includes saddling up and grooming of the pony, until the child is confident and able to do it on their own before the start of their lesson.

All our instructors are SANIP qualified (with a first-aid qualification) or trainees for their exams, as we try to maintain a high standard of tuition and the children's safety is of utmost importance to us.

Jo was introduced to horses in 1982 and has been enthusiastically involved ever since.

As a child and junior and adult has competed in many disciplines including showjumping, dressage, equitation, eventing and showing but has an interest in all things involving horses. Jo joined the Terrouges team in 2012 but has been teaching since 1995 and endeavors to pass on very correct styles to all her pupils, young and old.

Jo has produced many great riders who have gone on to be top riders in both equitation and showjumping. One of which was the top child showjumper for two years running.

Jo's formal qualifications are with  EQASA and The Brittish Pony Club and has attended many natural horsemanship and horse wellness type courses.
